Christian Freese is a scale operator who builds the machine that runs the strategy. For two decades, he has stepped into businesses when the ambition is clear but the path isn't, found what's blocking growth, removed it, and built the team and operating cadence to keep it moving.
His work sits where technology meets the real world: apps that only work when a driver shows up, a bike gets repaired, a shopper finds the item on the shelf. That is where plans meet people, regulation and ambiguity, and where most growth models break.
He spent a decade at Uber across four continents. In Germany, he built an operating model around licensed fleet partners and moved the business to breakeven. In India, he took share from 15% to 50% against an entrenched local competitor. He launched JUMP bikes and scooters internationally, from zero to $150M in revenue across 35+ cities, then led the merger with Lime. He ran operations for the $9B+ GMV EMEA Rides business through COVID and back. He then grew Grocery & Retail in the US and Canada from $1B to $4.5B GMV, onboarding 80,000+ retailers including Costco, Walmart and Albertsons.
Today Christian is COO of Talkiatry, the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the US, and a board director at LeafLink and Maxretail. He began his career at Roland Berger, rising from intern to Associate Partner, and holds an MBA from IESE and a master's in industrial engineering from KIT.
